BioSignia Names New Officer

Research Triangle Park, N.C., (October 13, 2005) - Timothy J. Smith, Ph. D. President and CEO of BioSignia, Inc. announced the appointment of Gary S. Krall to the position of Chief Operations Officer. In this new role Krall will assume the company’s operational responsibilities as part of launching several simultaneous customer initiatives.
“Gary is a seasoned executive with leadership experience in general management, marketing, sales, finance and operations”, said Smith. “His background in corporate finance and strategic business planning make him a valuable addition to our team”.

Mr. Krall was most recently the Chairman and CEO of Reichhold, Inc., a $1 B global producer of high performance resins and specialty chemicals. Prior to that he was President of Enviroclean Management Services and previously worked at Owens Corning for 18 years where he progressed through a variety of financial management and commercial positions. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Toledo.
