BioSignia’s Know Your Number®
Catalyst for Employee Communication in Dossia Health Manager
Leading predictive modeling company’s health risk assessment
tool embedded into Dossia’s personalized, data-driven health
management solution
Research Triangle Park, NC — BioSignia, a predictive modeling
company providing innovative solutions for chronic disease
prevention and management, today announced the signing of a
licensing agreement with leading personal health management system
provider, Dossia. The agreement between the companies is centered on
the integration of BioSignia’s patented predictive modeling
technology into the recently launched Dossia Health Management
System.
Dossia is a leading health management system provider
with an existing customer base comprised of large self-ensured
companies dedicated to empowering individuals to take better control
of their health and healthcare. BioSignia’s “Know Your Number”
health assessment calculates an employee’s individual 5 year risk
for getting several of the nation’s most prevalent chronic diseases
and quantifies the impact that leading a healthier lifestyle can
make on preventing the onset of specific diseases. Know Your Number
will be available on the Dossia Health Management System to members
of the Dossia network in late September 2011. The Know Your Number
findings are communicated in an easy-to-interpret, visually
compelling report that outlines risk factors on a multi-dimensional
scale. The Dossia Health Manager then makes the information provided
by Know Your Number actionable by offering relevant content and
suggestions for tools to help users further reduce their risk.
“Know Your Number’s integration with Dossia’s intelligent
platform is a wonderful example of how the Dossia Health Manager
offers next generation personalization and capabilities to users,”
commented Steve Munini, Dossia COO. “Know Your Number’s
multi-dimensional results help us meet our goal of providing an
engaging, personalized experience for the employee,” added Mr.
Munini.
“We are excited to have been selected by Dossia to
help drive what promises to be one of the most effective health
management tools available to corporations today,” said John
Schilhab, BioSignia’s Executive Vice President of Business
Development. “Our scientists have worked diligently to create a
solution that provides employees with the clinically-sound,
actionable information they need to achieve better health. Our
alliance with Dossia is going to allow our technology to improve the
health of employees and enable employers to reduce their healthcare
spending; we couldn’t be more excited about the future of the Know
Your Number and Dossia Health Manager,” added Schilhab. For more
